Keeping A Maintenance Fund – A Lesson For Life

It was a really long time ago that we had a major problem with the first house that we bought – a medium sized late victorian terrace in a midlands market town.  One of thousands and thousands of similar that lined all the roads leading away from the town centre and attractive riverside setting.  We were so exccited when we got the letter (ho ho, that seems odd now) to say we’d been granted the much sought after mortgage

Having very sensible parents, we were encouraged to keep a maintenance fund on the go at all times and not be tempted to dib in at any time.  This proved such good advice and regular maintenance to keep on top of property is critical.  Getting experts in is optional but will save much time, effort and heartache in the long run.  A property service company will always give advice and offer options and ideas to solve probems.
